What a wonderful event we had for Dutch New Year!  We had well over 40 people (including kids) thanks to the great enewsletters!  All of the feedback was positive.  For my part, I thought the space was perfect - thank you, Jocelyn for reserving!  Thank you for the great ideas and being a great team to work with!

Highlights - Dutch bake-off, countdown & toasting the new year, great fireworks, beautiful piano playing by Thor!

-- Camping weekend 2011 --

Lucky for the Dutch Club we had our first ever camping retreat for families and if you'd like a friend.  Probably more than any other European country, the Dutch people like to camp. There was a campfire, inner tubing on the Crow river, fireworks and a good rainfall Saturday night. Lights went out at 5:00 am for some of us ... The Weinans had offered their acres of land along a river in Rogers, MN just ripe for a group campsite. What could have been more fun? See some pictures below .......

 -- Honoring Bert Blyleven --

We were honored to honor Bert Blyleven on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the Twins game.  Bert hales from Zeist, NL and members of our board managed to get letters from the Dutch Embassy and his hometown of Zeist recognizing his contribution to the game of baseball since he recently was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.  He is now an honorary member of the Dutch Club of MN, NAAM as well!
